Capturing Broc and Kali's engagement photography session in the picturesque Cochrane landscape just west of Calgary proved to be a magical winter experience. After weeks of unusually bare ground throughout Alberta, we were blessed with a fresh snowfall the day before their December 10th session - transforming the setting into the perfect winter wonderland for this special milestone in their journey together.

Despite the bone-chilling temperatures (a true Alberta winter experience!), these two radiated warmth throughout our time together. Kali and Broc had mentioned feeling nervous about being photographed, yet you'd never know it from the natural, loving connection that shines through in every image. Their genuine smiles and comfortable embraces against the snow-covered Cochrane hills tell the story of a couple perfectly in tune with one another.

Though clouds dominated most of our planned golden hour session, patience rewarded us with an absolutely spectacular finale. Just as we were wrapping up, the skies opened to reveal that dreamy golden light photographers dream about, casting a warm glow across the snowy Foothills landscape. Those final moments created breathtaking portraits with the Rocky Mountains silhouetted in the distance - the perfect backdrop for their love story.
